Allah or Jesus?

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths who explained their belief systems.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked:

"
Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"

There was no disagreement with my statements and without hesitation he replied, "
Non-believers!"

I responded,

"So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to Heaven. Is that correct?"

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He sheepishly replied,

"Yes."

I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Pat Robertson or Dr. Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to Heaven!" The Imam was speechless.

I continued,

"I also have problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me. Let me ask you a question. Would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me in order to go to Heaven or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to Heaven and He wants you to be with me?" You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.

Chuck Colson once told me something that has sustained me these 20 years of prison ministry. He said to me, "Rick, remember that the truth will prevail." And it will!

A Reply to Those Who Promote Understanding of Islam

TO ASSOCIATE THE QUR’AN TO GOD IS A BLASPHEMY

Surely, a better understanding of what others believe in and stand for is a noble manifestation of a civilised society and should be encouraged, but hasn’t it got to be both ways (where Muslims try to understand non-Muslim religions and vice-versa). I refer to the call in a letter from the authorities of the Royal Oak Intermediate School, to the parents of their students, ‘ Click here to read the letter.

As you have read the letter, you will note that it basically calls for “promoting greater understanding and empathy (only) for the Muslim religion” by “fasting”. To offer a balanced and factual understanding of Islam, here are the undeniable truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

We will first examine the religion of Islam in brevity, in relation to other religions, and then proceed to the subject of fasting.

Muhammad founded Islam. But unlike Prophets of all other religions who were inspired, directed and had dialogues with God himself, in the presence of numerous witnesses; (…) the Qur’an in Surah 2:97 confirms that Allah informed an angel, who carried Allah’s monologues (revelations) to Prophet Muhammad in such an indirect manner, without a single witness to these important monologues. These monologues received, are what is supposed to be in the Qur’an (Islam’s most Holy Tenet). But Prophet Muhammad was uneducated and completely illiterate (could not read or write), and with a poor memory, unlike prophets of other religions, who were well educated.

-
The Hindu Vedas have more than 50,000 verses. The Buddhist Scriptures is more than 40,000 verses, the Taoists have more than 30,000 verses, the Bahai’s Scriptures, comprise 18,000 verses, against the Qur’an’s 6,666 verses (The Qur’an is no match).

- The Qur’an is one book, whereas the Bible comprises 66 books. The Qur’an has 433 pages (including List of Surahs and General Index in total), whereas the Bible is of 1,709 pages (not including pages on Foreword, Preface, List of Contents, Book Covers, Map Index and Subject Index) (No match).

- The verses in the Bible amount to a voluminous 31,173 (23,214 + 7,959) against the Qur’an's paltry 6,666 verses.

-
The Qur’an has 114 Surahs (chapters) against the Bible’s 1,189 chapters.

-
The Bible is made up of an incredible 774,746 (593,493 + 181,253) words. (The Qur’an is no match at all).

- In substance, the Qur’an states in Surah 22:52 that Allah removed Satan’s verses in the Qur’an. (One wonders, how Satan got his verses into the Qur’an in the first place). Also in Surah 2:106 and 16:101 Allah confirms that he removed some of his initial verses and replaced them with better verses. (One wonders, why Allah had to change/improve/polish his own works), but our God, the Almighty, did not need to make improvements and corrections in his Bible, as he is the true God, perfect the first time, and supreme.

The word ‘Islam’ means to submit or surrender to Allah (Muslim's God). In surah 9:29 & 9:5 of the Qur’an, Muslims are commanded to kill anyone who does not submit or surrender to Allah (that means to kill 85% of the world’s population, of non-Muslims). But the non-Muslim God Almighty only calls us to love everyone, unlike Allah.

Allah further says in the Qur’an to slay (kill) transgressors in Surah 2:191. The word ‘transgressors’ is as elastic as can be, and can mean anything. So how would anyone know the limits set to qualify as a transgressor (especially when there is no limits mentioned anywhere in the Qur’an)? How can a Muslim apply a judgment on a non-Muslim for transgression without even knowing what ‘transgression’ means (so it becomes a ‘free for all’, based on each individual perception, and authorised by the Qur’an/Allah)? When the school authorities call for ‘empathy’, they should first ask Muslims to empathise with the non-Muslims, who are at a loss with such ill defined, utterly unfair, all encompassing and wicked pronouncements of the Qur’an against them. What if the non-Muslims apply this same Surah on the Muslims? Isn’t ‘empathy’ a ‘two way street’? But we civilised non-Muslims, do not subscribe to a religion with such savage, inhuman, intolerant and evil hypothesis.

Muslims used to face Mecca (Ka’aba) to pray initially. The Qur’an confirms, the direction to pray was changed from Mecca to Jerusalem (ignoring the Ka’aba in Mecca). And (…) years later, another correction was made, to face Mecca again; all as per Surah 2:142 - 144. As God is everywhere, all non-Muslim religions are free to face in any direction to pray, and God would listen. Why try to focus on one spot on earth (Is Allah squatting there)? As the earth is round, the Muslims are actually producing a trajectory of focus, out to space. Technically, the American Muslims should look down towards their feet, through the earth, to come out on the other side of the Globe, towards Mecca. Unless you are within sight of the Ka aba, all Muslims are actually facing the sky to pray, and not Mecca. Didn’t Allah know the world is round, if he did create it? But it gets even better, when Allah confirms the earth is flat, as in Surah 18:86 Allah specifically, says the sun sets into a murky spring water. (How it gets to the East, daily, is another story).

In Surahs 2:180 & 4:7 Allah proclaims his Inheritance Law in painstaking detail, but the problem is, it adds up to more than 100% of the available inheritance (who goofed?).

The Qur’an teaches us in Surahs 16:15, 21:31, 31:10, 78:6-7 & 88:19 that Allah threw down mountains, like pegs, to prevent the earth from shaking/wobbling. (Now, this will send Geologists dumbfounded).

In Surah 54:19, Allah confirms that he created the Heavens and earth in one day, but in Surah 2:117 Allah confirms he created the Heavens and earth instantaneously. Allah goes further to confirm in Surahs 7:54, 10:3, 11:7, & 25:59 that he took six days. But then again, Allah elaborates in Surah 41:9 to 12, to describe his creation of the Heavens and earth in 8 (4+2+2) days. (Now really, who is confused?).

A Muslim male inherits twice as much as a woman, as stated in Surah 2:282 & 4:11 and also a woman is only half a male witness. In Surah 4:34 a man is to whip (flog) his wife/wives to correct them. There is no such gender discrimination and savagery in non-Muslim religions and every Christian is equal, in the ‘eyes of God’.

To spread Islam, Allah commands Muslims to kill unbelievers “in my name”, as in Surah 4:74. In the Bible, God tells us to love one another, and to show others by example.

In substance, the Qur’an has no Prophecy, no Miracles, no History, no Geography, no Chronology, just a relatively small book of jumbled up verses of general do’s and don’t. Islam is a complete miss-match with any other religion and in any standard, whichever way you look at it. These are undeniable facts. (There are many more, contradictions, errors, stupidity, absurdity, violence, gender bias, savagery, hatred, evil, etc. in the Qur’an, that to associate it with God is blasphemy).

Now let’s go to the subject of fasting. Generally, all religions do practise fasting. The logic is to experience the suffering of the starving/poor; and also to share the sacrificed food/money with the starving/poor. But how does anyone fasting, ever understand a religion better (…)?

In Islam, over a 28 day period only, the fasting is practiced during daylight hours only (for 12 hours), and the Muslims eat 4 or 5 very heavy meals, every 3 hours, over 12 hours of darkness (when Allah can’t see) to more than replace the missed food during the daylight hours. But by fasting during the day and over-eating in the night, the Muslims are actually spending more money and consuming more food than usual in 24 hours; and no honest sacrifice is made, for the starving/poor. Later, they hypocritically come out with even more money/food pretending to share with the poor, what was never really sacrificed. Except for the first 2 days, conditioning your body to adapt to the consumption of food at night, instead of the day, (for example, night shift workers) defeats the very logical purpose of fasting and God knows no real sacrifice was made for the starving/poor, and the Muslims are cheating. This is another falsehood of Islam. Haven’t the non-Muslims shown genuine empathy to the Muslims, by providing shelter and sustenance in their own numerous countries worldwide, when these Muslims came fleeing from persecution from their own Muslim comrades? In reply, to our kindness and generosity, the Muslims killed thousands of innocent non-Muslim men, women and children, in Bali, the Philippines, Jakarta, Xinjiang, Kashmir, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan, Israel, Sudan, Istanbul, Morocco, Algeria, Kenya, Chad, Niger, Chechnya, New York, Washington, (President Bush said in UK, “These are not dreams, but the reality”). Everyone knows the discrimination, abuse, sufferings, manning, killings, etc inflicted on the non-Muslims by the Muslims, worldwide. No empathy was, and is shown by the Muslims for the non-Muslims. In fact, it has been shown on TV, the Muslims rejoice when non-Muslims are blown into unrecognisable bits and pieces. In reality; we are already aware, of every Muslim terrorist group being led by a religious leader, well versed in the Qur’an. We are also aware of innocent-looking Muslims (around us) funded these terrorists. You can’t take the Qur’an from a Muslim; but he will discard the Qur’an, on his own, if he becomes a non-Muslim. (I am an example of that). Where did the Muslim ‘understanding’ go to (or do they have any at all, through their Islamic nurturing), for the non-Muslims? Now, honestly, who needs ‘understanding and empathy’ against all this savagery, inhumanity, intolerance and evil?

A 7th Century Way of Life

Contrasts between Christianity and Islam

No matter how much Muslims attempt to dress up Islam to make it attractive to the West, there are still many teachings of Islam that fall short of recognized modern standards for human rights. The rights that were accorded to 7th century Bedouins are far from being acceptable to us in this 21st century. Here are few examples of the teachings of Islam:

Men are superior to women."..
And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable; but men have a degree over them." Surah 2:228

Women have half the rights of men.
-
In inheritance: A woman's share is half that of a man."
To the male a portion equal to that of two females..." Surah 4:11
-
In court witness: A woman's witness is worth half that of a man."
And get two witnesses out of your own men, and if there are not two men, then a man and two women such as ye choose, for witness..." Surah 2:282

Islam considers a wife the possession of her husband." Fair in the eyes of men is the love of things they covet: Women and sons; heaped-up hoards of gold and silver; horses..." Surah 3:14

Islam teaches that it is acceptable for a husband to punish a wife by beating her and abstaining from sexual relations with her. "...
As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them, refuse to share their beds, beat them." Surah 4:34
"For those who take an oath for abstention from their wives, a waiting for four months is ordained; if they return, God is oft-forgiving, most merciful." Surah 2:226

Islam instructs women to always veil themselves when they are outside of their homes. In certain situations it is mandatory even when in their own homes
." And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty..."
Surah 24:31
"O prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad)." Surah 33:59

Islam allows polygamy: A man may be married to four wives at one time."...
Marry women of your choice, two, or three, or four..." Surah 4:3 Note: Extra privileges were given to Mohammed, the prophet of Islam. He was allowed unlimited wives. We know for a fact that he had at least 13 wives in addition to several concubines. Mohammed was fifty-three years old when he married a nine-year-old child named Ayesha. He took another wife named Zaynab Bint Jahsh who was his daughter-in-law. When her husband Zaid, Mohammed's adopted son, saw that Mohammed desired his wife, he divorced her so that Mohammed could marry her.

Islam considers the wife a sex object."
Your wives are as a tilth (a field to be ploughed) unto you, so approach your tilth when or how ye will." Surah 2:223

A man may divorce his wife by oral pronouncement. However, the Qur’an does not offer the same right to the wife. "
It may be, if he divorced you that Allah will give him in exchange consorts better than you..." Surah 66:5

Muslims must fight until all of their opponents submit to Islam, unless, of course, those opponents prefer to die. Christians and Jews (People of the Book [Bible & Torah]) may be spared if they pay "Jizya" (penalty tax) with willing submission, and humiliation."
Fight those who believe not in Allah, nor the last day… Nor acknowledge the religion of truth, (even if they are) of the people of the Book, until they pay the Jizya (taxes) with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued." Surah 9:29
"
But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait (ambush) for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity then open the way for them." Surah 9:5 (see also Surah 2:193)

Islam instructs Muslims not to befriend Jews or Christians."
O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors. They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is one of them. Allah guideth not a people unjust." Surah 5:51

Any person who accepts Islam and then later turns away from it will be subject to death."
But if they violate their oath after their covenant, and taunt you for your faith, fight ye (kill) the chiefs of unbelief: for their oaths are nothing to them." Surah 9:12

Islam teaches that the Qur’an is the Constitution. God is the author of law and the State is the agent to implement God's laws. In Islam, there is no separation between Church and State."
The command (the rule) is for none but Allah; He hath commanded that ye worship none but Him: That is the right religion, but most men understand not." Surah 12:40

Adultery and Fornication: Unmarried fornicators are punished by public floggings. Adulterers are punished by being stoned. "
The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication, flog each of them with a hundred stripes; let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day; and let a party of the believers witness their punishment." Surah 24:2

Stealing: Punished by amputating the hands."
As to the thief, male or female, cut off his or her hands: A punishment, by way of example, from Allah for their crime: and Allah is exalted in power." Surah 5:38

Drinking alcohol: According to the Hadith (Mohammed's sayings) is punishable by 40 to 80 lashes. See Sahih al-Bukhari vol. 8:770

Do you still want to go on in your life, by going back by 1’400 Years?

The Way To Paradise

Contrasts between Christianity and Islam

From the Qur’an, the Hadith and the Bible

A Muslim asked his friend about salvation and the way to reach Paradise. The following is the response to his question. It should be noted that this topic is of the utmost importance. Everyone should seek to know the way that leads to eternal blessing and happiness. When we study about salvation and follow the sure way to reach Paradise, we do ourselves an eternal favor.

IN ISLAM:

Here are some verses from the Qur’an that will help us understand some facts:

All Adam’s seeds are inclined to sin. Sin is universal.“If Allah were to punish men for their wrong-doing, He would not leave, on the (earth), a single living creature(16:61).“…the (human) soul is certainly prone to evil…." (12:53)Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds (96:6). The Holy Book of the Muslims lists the sins of the prophets except “Isa” the son of Mary, Jesus Christ, Al Masih, as there was no sin in him (19:19).

Do good and hope for the best.
The balance that day will be true (to a nicety): those whose scale (of good) will be heavy, will prosper: Those whose scale will be light, will find their souls in perdition, for that they wrongfully treated Our Signs”. (7:8,9)

“…
for those things that are good remove those that are evil…”: (11:114) At the Day of Judgment scales will be set to weigh the good and evil deeds. However, Hadith number 6760 according to Sahih Muslim says: Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (MPBUH) as saying: None amongst you would attain salvation purely because of his deeds. A person said: Allah’s Messenger, even you also? Thereupon he said: Yes. Not even I, but that Allah wraps me in mercy

Fate has been ascribed to everyone: No one can do anything to change one’s fate. Every man's fate We have fastened on his own neck: on the Day of Judgment We shall bring out for him a scroll, which he will see spread open. (17:13)“…He forgiveth whom He pleaseth, and punisheth whom He pleaseth. For Allah hath power over all things” (2:284)“…Now Allah leaves straying those whom He pleases and guides whom He pleases…” (14:4)

The Qur’an admits all Muslims to Hell.(Jinn in the Qur’an is synonymous to Demons in the Bible.). “
Many are the Jinns and men We have made for Hell” (7:179)"…I will fill Hell with jinns and men all together." (11:119, 32:13) …“Not one of you but will pass over it (Hell), this is, with thy Lord, a Decree which must be accomplished” (19:71) The literal translation of the last verse cited is: “Not one of you but will enter it (Hell)”. Muslim scholars try to soften the actual meaning of this verse and say that all will be admitted to Hell but the believers will be rescued. But no one can know when he will be rescued. It is worthwhile to quote Ibn Kathir, the well known Islamic expositor, as he stated three stories for men who lived understanding what the prophet of Islam has said.
The First:
Abdullah Ibn Rowaha was putting his head on his wife’s lap, he wept, his wife also wept. He asked her, “why do you weep?” “ I saw you weeping so I wept”, she answered. He said, “I remembered what Allah said :’No one of you but will enter it (Hell)’. I do not know if I will escape from it or not.”
The second:
Abu Mysarah used to say every night before he went to bed, “I wish that my mother had not given birth of me!” then he would weep. Someone asked him, “Why do you weep, Abu Mysarah?” He answered, “The Qur’an told us that we will enter Hell, but we were not told that we will get out of it”.
The third:
Abdullah Ibn Al Mubarak cited Al Hasan Al Basari: “A man asked his brother : ‘Do you know that you will enter Hell fire?’ “Yes”, his brother answered. “Do you know if you will get out of it?” he asked. “No” , his brother answered. “Why do you laugh then?” From that time on he was never seen laughing till he died. (Ibn Katheir on Surat Maryam Vol 3 p129). You may remember what Abu Bakr, the first successor of the prophet of Islam, said. He stated that if he had one foot in Paradise and the other outside , he did not trust the cunning of his Lord.

Some think that those who kill themselves and kill others (the infidels) are martyrs and will be ushered to Paradise. No, in fact, they are killers and murderers. They have condemned themselves to eternal destruction, in Hell. Sheikh Tantawi, the Imam of the world’s largest Islamic Mosque, in Cairo, Egypt, in his address to the leaders of the Islamic nations, convened in Malaysia July 2003 - and quoted by the “AL Arab” newspaper (vol. 14 NO 513) published in Los Angeles California on July 17, 2003 - condemned the suicide bombers.

Those who are familiar with the Bible, know that all killers, the murderers will end up in Hell for all eternity.
(Revelation 21:8)

To top all the above, according to Hadith Al Bukhary volume 5 No. 266, the prophet of Islam said: “ By Allah, though I am the apostle of Allah, yet I do not know what Allah will do to me”

As you see, there is no assurance of salvation to those who embrace Islam.

IN BIBLICAL CHRISTIANITY:

We are all sinners:
-
From the inspired Word of God, The Bible, it is written: “… there is no one who does good, not even one”. (Psalm 14:3)
-
Also, “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. (1 John 1:8.) (see also Ecclesiastes 7:20; Psalm 130:3; Isaiah 53:6; Matthew 15:19,20a, Romans 3:10,23).

God is a Holy God. Sin separates man from God. Here is what the prophet Isaiah has said: “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear” (Isaiah 59:2).

There are two Eternal Destinations: Paradise and Hell. The Lord Jesus Christ explained this fact and what will happen at the day pf judgment, as He Said: “
Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world’ …Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.’”… “Then they (the sinners) will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.(Matthew 25:34-46) (see also Revelation20:15, 21:8,27, 22:15)

God loves the world , He prepared the only way to Paradise. John the Baptist (called “Yehya” by the Qur’an) when he saw Jesus the Christ (called “Isa Al Masih, the son of Mary“ by the Qur’an), proclaimed: “Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). What does it mean that Jesus is the Lamb of God? A lamb was the most frequent type of sacrifice which was given by the sinner to God. (Leviticus 4).To obtain forgiveness, the sinner was asking God to accept the life and the blood of an innocent animal (instead of his). You see, Jesus, the Word of God, took on flesh, came to present Himself as a sacrifice for the sinners. Jesus was not crucified because He had been overpowered—no, He willingly presented Himself. When they approached Him, all the mob and the soldiers fell to the ground. He came to die for our sin, was buried and rose from the dead as He previously and repeatedly announced. All who believe in Him and believe in what He has done and accept His gift will be saved. Thus we can realize that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself. (2 Corinthians 5:19).

Who is Jesus?: He is not only a prophet or a great teacher, He is God. The Word of God, that took on a human flesh, the creator, the healer, who raised the dead and fed the hungry, who forgives our sins, the Prince of peace who grants peace that transcends all understanding, who knows the unknown, the redeemer and the Judge. Yes, Jesus is the only way to Paradise. Jesus said: “
I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). Also, the Apostle Peter said to the crowds: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

What must we do to be saved from eternal punishment? The only way to please God and to be accepted by Him is to have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and believe that He carried our sins on the cross. It is written: “
And without faith it is impossible to please God”, How can we accomplish this? Here are some verses from the inspired word of God that will help us understand and know the way

This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus”.( Romans 3:22-24).

If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved…for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. (Romans 10:9,10,13)

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit” (Titus 3:4,5)

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from your selves, it is the gift of God , not by works, so that no one can boast, For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:8 -10).

But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (Romans 10:8 -10)

God gives the assurance that all who believe will be saved.
-
Jesus said “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life”(John 5:24).
- “
All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away”( John 6:37).
- “
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand” (John 10:27,28).
-
The apostle Paul, assuring the believers regarding their stand with our Lord Jesus Christ said “
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1)

Those who believe in Jesus Christ the Saviour, do not do good works to win a place in Heaven or win His favour, for Jesus did all the work of providing salvation. Rather, the good deeds are performed to show evidence of faith in Christ, expressing love that sprouts from a grateful heart.

Now, If you are serious about your eternal destination, whatever religion you follow, if you felt your heart being opened to a new desire for God and you sincerely want to accept the gift of God, You may pray something like this:

Dear God, I know that I am a sinner, I realize that from my life and from your Word, destined for Hell. I need your mercy and forgiveness. I believe that Jesus has died for my sins. I trust Jesus as my Saviour and Lord. I want to turn away from my sins. God, I submit to you now and I invite You to come into my heart and life.. Please help me to follow you all the days of my life.

In Jesus name I pray. Amen

The Qur’an alleges that Allah sanctions lies and deception (Taqyya):

Why then believe what Muslims say? (And what about even Allah’s words?)

Allah will not call you to account for what is futile in your oaths, but He will call you to account for your deliberate oaths: for expiation, feed ten indigent persons, on a scale of the average for the food of your families; or clothe them; or give a slave his freedom. If that is beyond your means, fast for three days. That is the expiation for the oaths ye have sworn. But keep to your oaths. Thus doth Allah make clear to you His signs, that ye may be grateful. Surah 5:89

Any one who, after accepting faith in Allah, utters Unbelief, except under compulsion, his heart remaining firm in Faith - but such as open their breast to Unbelief, on them is Wrath from Allah, and theirs will be a dreadful Penalty.Surah 16: 106

The noted Islamic commentator, Al-Tabary, explained Surah 16:106 as a verse that had been revealed to Mohammed after he learned that Ammar Ibn Yasser was forced to deny his faith in Mohammed when kidnapped by the Banu Moghera tribe. Mohammed consoled Ammar by telling him, “If they turned, you turn.” (Meaning: if they again capture you, you are allowed to deny me again.)

In the Hadith, Mohammed, emphasizes the same concept.

According to Imam Al- Ghazali “
One of Mohammed’s daughters, Umm Kalthoum, testified that she had never heard the Apostle of Allah condone lying, except in these three situations: 1- For reconciliation among people. 2- In war. 3-Amongst spouses, to keep peace in the family”

One passage from the Hadith quotes Mohammed as saying: "The sons of Adam are accountable for all lies except those uttered to help bring reconciliation between Muslims."

Another says, "Aba Kahl, reconcile among people."(Meaning: even through lying.)

The following quote demonstrates the broadness of situations in which the prophet permitted lying. "The sons of Adam are accountable for all lies with these exceptions: During war because war is deception, to reconcile among two quarreling men, and for a man to appease his wife."

The principle of Al-Takeyya

The Arabic word, "Takeyya", means "to prevent," or guard against. The principle of Al Takeyya conveys the understanding that Muslims are permitted to lie as a preventive measure against anticipated harm to one's self or fellow Muslims. This principle gives Muslims the liberty to lie under circumstances that they perceive as life threatening. They can even deny the faith, if they do not mean it in their hearts. Al-Takeyya is based on the following Quranic verse:

"Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution (prevention), that ye may Guard yourselves from them (prevent them from harming you.) But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself; for the final goal is to Allah." Surah 3: 28

According to this verse a Muslim can pretend to befriend infidels (in violation of the teachings of Islam) and display adherence with their unbelief to prevent them from harming him.

Under the concept of Takeyya and short of killing another human being, if under the threat of force, it is legitimate for Muslims to act contrary to their faith. The following actions are acceptable:

-
Drink wine, abandon prayers, and skip fasting during Ramadan.
-
Renounce belief in Allah.
-
Kneel in homage to a deity other than Allah.
-
Utter insincere oaths.

The implications of the principle of Al-Takeyya

Unfortunately, when dealing with Muslims, one must keep in mind that Muslims can communicate something with apparent sincerity, when in reality they may have just the opposite agenda in their hearts. Bluntly stated, Islam permits Muslims to lie anytime that they perceive that their own well-being, or that of Islam, is threatened.

In the sphere of international politics, the question is: Can Muslim countries be trusted to keep their end of the agreements that they sign with non-Muslim nations? It is a known Islamic practice, that when Muslims are weak they can agree with most anything. Once they become strong, then they negate what they formerly vowed.

The principle of sanctioning lying for the cause of Islam bears grave implications in matters relating to the spread of the religion of Islam in the West. Muslim activists employ deceptive tactics in their attempts to polish Islam's image and make it more attractive to prospective converts. They carefully try to avoid, obscure, and omit mentioning any of the negative Islamic texts and teachings.

An example of Islamic deception is that Muslim activists always quote the passages of the Qu’ran from the early part of Mohammed's ministry while living in Mecca. These texts are peaceful and exemplify tolerance towards those that are not followers of Islam. All the while, they are fully aware that most of these passages were abrogated (cancelled and replaced) by passages that came after he migrated to Medina. The replacement verses reflect prejudice, intolerance, and endorse violence upon unbelievers

In conclusion, it is imperative to understand, that Muslim leaders can use this loop-hole in their religion, to absolve them from any permanent commitment. It is also important to know that what Muslim activists say to spread Islam may not always be the whole truth. When dealing with Muslims, what they say is not the issue. The real issue is, what they actually mean in their hearts.
