Dawagandist Mohammed Hijab Admits that his god Allah Worships like Muslims do!

In the second rebuttal period of his debate with David Wood, Mohammed Hijab admitted that the Arabic word used in the Quran to describe Allah praying, namely, salah, actually means du’a:

“And the word actually salah means du’a. This is the root word.” (Trinity or Tawhid? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrNMc0VTDUA&t=37s)

Herein lies the problem for this dawagandist. Du’a is simply the word used for invocation or supplication. And according to certain allegedly sound reports attributed to Muhammad, du’a is the very heart of Muslim worship:

17 The Book of DU’A (SUPPLICATIONS)

An-Nu’man bin Bashir reported: The Prophet said, “DU’A (SUPPLICATION) IS WORSHIP.”

[Abu Dawud].

Sunnah.com reference: Book 17, Hadith 1

Arabic/English book reference: Book 17, Hadith 1465 (sunnah.com https://sunnah.com/riyadussaliheen/17/1; capital emphasis ours)

And:

296. The excellence of supplication

712. Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet said, “Nothing is dearer to Allah than supplication.”

713. Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet said, “The noblest ACT OF WORSHIP is supplication.”

714. An-Nu’man ibn Bashir reported that the Prophet said, “Supplication IS WORSHIP.” Then he recited, “Call on Me and I will answer you.” (Aisha Bewley, Al-Adab al-Mufrad al-Bukhari, XXX. Supplication http://bewley.virtualave.net/adab4.html#supplicate; capital and underline emphasis ours)

Again:

3828. It was narrated from Nu‘man bin Bashir that the Messenger of Allah said: “Indeed the supplication IS THE WORSHIP.” Then he recited: “And your Lord said: Invoke Me, I will respond to you.”[1](SAHIH(English Translation of Sunan Ibn Majah – Compiled by Imam Muhammad Bin Yazeed Ibn Majah Al-Qazwini, From Hadith No. 3657 to 4341, Ahadith edited and referenced by Hafiz Abu Tahir Zubair ‘Ali Za’i, translated by Nasiruddin al-Khattab (Canada), final review by Abu Khaliyl (USA) [Darussalam Publications and Distributors, First Edition: June 2007], Volume 5, 34. The Chapter On Supplication, Chapter 1. The Virtue of Supplication, p. 95 https://sunnah.com/ibnmajah/34/2; capital and underline emphasis ours)

[1] Ghafir 40:60. (Ibid.)

Finally:

3372. An-Nu‘man bin Bashir narrated that the Prophet said: “The supplication, IS WORSHIP.” Then he recited: And Your Lord said: “Call upon me, I will respond to you. Verily, those who scorn My worship, they will surely enter Hell humiliated.” (SAHIH)

[Abu ‘Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. Mansur and Al-‘A‘mash narrated it from Dharr, and we do not know it except from the narration of Dharr. [He is Dharr ‘Abdullah Al-Hamdani, trustworthy, the father of ‘Umar bin Dharr.]

Comments:

Supplication IS WORSHIP IN ITSELF, and for proof the Prophet recited the Verse of Surat Ghafir, “Call upon Me, I will respond to you. Verily, those who scorn My worship, they will surely enter Hell humiliated.” This Verse shows that not begging His favors is a sign of scorn. As supplication IS THE ESSENCE OF WORSHIP, and without its essence, the supplication is nothing but lifeless utterances. (English Translation of Jami‘ At-Tirmidhi, Compiled by Imam Hafiz Abu ‘Eisa Mohammad Ibn ‘Eisa At-Tirmidhi, From Hadith no. 3291 to 3956, translated by Abu Khaliyl (USA), Ahadith edited & referenced by Hafiz Abu Tahir Zubair ‘Ali Za’i [Darussalam Publishers & Distributors, First Edition: November 2007], Volume 6, 45. The Book Of Supplications From The Messenger Of Allah, pp. 102-103 https://sunnah.com/tirmidhi/48/3; capital and underline emphasis ours)

These are just some of the many ahadith which have been used by Muslim scholars to prove that making du’a or supplication to anyone other than Allah is major sin, since it is the very essence of worship. As such, this is an action that can only be offered to the Muslim deity.

Therefore, since Mohammed Hijab admitted that his god does pray since he does perform salah, and since he claimed that salah is du’a or invocation/supplication, then he has basically conceded that his god does in fact worship just like Muslims do!

I’m going to breaks this down for Hijab and his cronies so that he and/or they don’t miss the actual point of the argument:

1. Salah or prayer is du’a, i.e. invocation and supplication.

2. Du’a is the very essence of Islamic worship.

3. The Quran and ahadith confirm that Allah performs and engages in salah.

4. Allah is, therefore, engaging in an act of worship much like the Muslims that also perform salah.

So the question that Mohammed Hijab and his cohorts must answer is, who does their god Allah worship, invoke, supplicate etc., whenever he prays or performs salah FOR Muhammad and the other so-called believers?

He it is who prays (yusallee) for you and His angels too, to bring you forth out of the darkness into the light, for He is merciful to the believers. S. 33:43 Palmer

Verily, God and His angels pray (yusalloona) for the prophet. O ye who believe! pray (salloo) for him and salute him with a salutation! S. 33:56 Palmer

And since I want to make sure that Hijab will actually answer the objection, instead of attacking straw man in order to tap dance around the question that David Wood posed to him, I’m going to therefore repeat the challenge in large font so he and the other dawagandists have no excuse for failing to respond correctly this time around:

SINCE SALAH MEANS DU’A, AND SINCE DU’A IS THE HEART OF MUSLIM WORSHIP, TO WHOM DOES ALLAH PRAY TO AND WORSHIP WHENEVER HE PERFORMS SALAH FOR MUHAMMAD AND THE REST OF THE MUSLIM BELIEVERS?

How Muhammad Turned Allah and Jesus into two Lords

Muhammad didn’t simply elevate Jesus and his blessed mother to divine status (https://answeringislamblog.wordpress.com/2018/11/15/the-prophet-of-shirk-strikes-again-pt-1/), thereby turning them into two separate gods besides Allah. He also associated Christ with Allah in  the following reference:

They have taken their rabbis and their monks (as) Lords besides Allah AND the Messiah, son (of) Maryam. And not they were commanded except that they worship One God. (There) is no god except Him. Glory be to Him from what they associate (with Him). Literal (Word for Word) http://islamawakened.com/quran/9/st61.htm#31

Here is the transliteration of the underlying Arabic text:

Ittakhathoo ahbarahum waruhbanahum arbaban min dooni Allahi WAalmaseeha ibna maryama wama omiroo illa liyaAAbudoo ilahan wahidan la ilaha illa huwa subhanahu Aaamma mushrikoona

Because of the grammatical structure of the Arabic, the above passage is actually claiming that Jews and Christians (including Muslims) were commanded to only take Jesus as their Lord along with Allah. Basically, the verse is saying that the believers are to only serve Allah and Jesus as their Lord, not their rabbis or monks.

Putting it another way, the Quran is essentially stating that it is wrong for people to take Jewish rabbis and Christian priests as lords when their Lord is supposed to be Allah and Jesus. This means that the Quran’s author(s) ended up confessing that both Allah and Jesus are the one Lord whom all believers are to serve!

Check out how the following versions of the Quran translate the verse:

“They take their doctors and their monks for lords rather than God, AND the Messiah the son of Mary…” Palmer

“They take their priests and their monks for [their] lords, besides God, AND Christ the son of Mary…” Sale

“They took their scholars and priests to be lords besides God, AND the Messiah son of Mary…” Quran: A Reformist Translation

Notice how the above translators inserted a comma after God, even though it is clear from the original Arabic text that there is no justification for doing so. The Arabic makes it evident that both God/Allah and the Messiah are being joined together as the one Lord whom Muslims are to believe in and serve.

This leads us into a discussion of the Arabic conjunction wa (“and”), and the significance it has on how we are to understand this specific text.

While commenting on the importance that this particular conjunction has on the Muslim confession of faith (i.e., “there is no god but Allah AND Muhammad is his messenger”), renowned Muslim scholar Qadi ‘Iyad Ibn Musa al-Yahsubi noted that:

The fact that mention of the Prophet is directly connected to mention of Allah also shows that obedience to the Prophet is connected to obedience to Allah and his name to Allah’s name. Allah says, “Obey Allah and His Messenger” (2:32) and “Believe in Allah and His Messenger.” (4:136) Allah joins them together using the conjunction WA WHICH IS THE CONJUNCTION OF PARTNERSHIP. IT IS NOT PERMITTED TO USE THIS CONJUNCTION IN CONNECTION WITH ALLAH IN THE CASE OF ANYONE EXCEPT THE PROPHET.

Hudhayfa said that the Prophet said, “None of you should say, ‘What Allah wills and (wa) so-and-so wills.’ Rather say, ‘What Allah wills.’ Then stop and say, ‘So-and-so wills.’”

Al-Khattabi said, “The Prophet has guided you to correct behaviour in putting the will of Allah before the will of others. He chose ‘then’ (thumma) which implies sequence and deference as opposed to ‘and’ (wa) WHICH IMPLIES PARTNERSHIP.”

Something similar is mentioned in another hadith. Someone was speaking in the presence of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said, “Whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has been rightly guided, and whoever rebels against them both (joining them together by using the dual form)…” The Prophet said to him, “What a bad speaker you are! Get up! [Or he said: Get out!]”

Abu Sulayman said, “He disliked the two names being joined together in that way BECAUSE IT IMPLIES EQUALITY.”… (Qadi ‘Iyad, Kitab Ash-shifa bi ta’rif huquq al-Mustafa (Healing by the recognition of the Rights of the Chosen One), translation by Aisha Abdarrahman Bewley [Madinah Press, Inverness, Scotland, U.K.; third reprint 1991, paperback], p. 8; capital emphasis ours)

Therefore, since the Quranic author(s) linked Jesus with Allah by using the very same conjunction which implies partnership, this simply further confirms that they ended up making Christ and Allah co-equal partners, a fact that is brought out more clearly in this next passage:

When God said, ‘Jesus Son of Mary, remember My blessing upon thee and upon thy mother, when I confirmed thee with the Holy Spirit, to speak to men in the cradle, and of age; and when I taught thee the Book, the Wisdom, the Torah, the Gospel; and when thou createst out of clay, by My leave, as the likeness of a bird, and thou breathest into it, and it is a bird, by My leave; and thou healest the blind and the leper by My leave, and thou bringest the dead forth by My leave; and when restrained from thee the Children of Israel when thou camest unto them with the clear signs, and the unbelievers among them said, “This is nothing but sorcery manifest.” And when I inspired the Apostles: “Believe in Me AND My Messenger (an aminoo bee WAbirasoolee)”; they said, “We believe; witness Thou our submission.”‘ S. 5:110-111 Palmer – cf. Q. 2:87, 253; 3:49-52

Here we have Allah making Christ a partner and sharer in his exclusive divine attributes and functions, e.g., Allah permitted Jesus to create birds from clay and breathe life into them, raise the dead back to life, and give sight to the blind.

What makes this rather astonishing is that Christ creates and gives life in the exact same way that Allah does,

Your Lord said to the angels: “I am creating a human from hardened clay of aged mud. So when I perfect him, and blow of My Spirit in him, you shall fall prostrate to him.” S. 15:28-29 Quran: A Reformist Translation (QRT)

For your Lord said to the angels: “I am creating a human being from clay. So when I have evolved him, and breathed into him from My Spirit, then you shall submit to him.” S. 38:71-72 QRT

Jesus even performs the very functions which Muhammad himself could not do, and was not allowed to do according to the Quran:

You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear the call when they turn their backs and flee. Nor can you guide the blind from their misguidance. You can only make those who acknowledge Our signs hear you, for they have peacefully surrendered. S. 27:80-81 QRT

You cannot make the dead listen, nor can you make the deaf hear the call when they have turned their backs. Nor can you enlighten the blind from their straying; but you can only make those who acknowledge Our signs listen, for they have peacefully surrendered. S. 30:52-53 QRT

The authors and/or editors also utilized the conjunction wa to enjoin belief in both Allah and Christ, thereby showing that a person cannot believe in one without also believing in the other.

The Quran therefore depicts Jesus as a divine being made flesh who is capable of doing whatever Allah does, and who also shares in the sole, unique Lordship or sovereignty of the Islamic deity.

Now some may take exception with our exegesis of Q. 9:31 and assert that the Arabic text clearly places Jesus alongside the rabbis and monks who were wrongly taken as Lords besides Allah. They may argue that the conjunction (wa) before Al-Maseeha, and the short vowel fatha (a), at the end of the word indicate that Al-Maseeha is in the accusative, so it is another object (together with the first two, ahbarahum waruhbanahum, e.g., “their rabbis and their monks”) of the verb “have taken.” The sentence should therefore actually read this way:

They have taken their rabbis and their monks and the Messiah Mary’s son as lords apart from God, and they were commanded to serve but One God; there is no god but He; glory be to Him, above that they associate.

If the wa was a conjunction conjoining Al-Maseeh to Allah, i.e., binding Allah and the Messiah together, then it would need to be in the genitive just like Allahi, e.g., Al-Maseehi.

In response, we must consider two important considerations when assessing the soundness or weakness of this assertion. To begin with, this argument presupposes that the markings distinguishing the different cases in Arabic, i.e. nominative, accusative etc., were always there, were always part of the original text. The reality, however, is quite different since the original Arabic Quran had no markings to help differentiate between the different nuances of a word.

Here is how the text would look like in transliteration minus the critical points:

min doon allah w almaseeh bn maryam

As one can see, there is no short fatha at the end of the words almaseehbn or maryam, which means that the original Arabic text did indeed conjoin Jesus along with Allah.

This leads us to our second point. The conjunction wa, as we saw earlier, is viewed by Muslims to be the conjunction of partnership. Since the Arabic text had no markings this would mean that someone reading it would have clearly seen that Jesus was being joined alongside Allah as the one Lord whom others had to believe in, as opposed to their rabbis and priests.

In light of the foregoing, it is rather obvious that the scribes who came later and added these markings realized the difficulty this text posed and decided to add the very specific points which made the word an accusative in order to avoid associating Jesus with God. This means that the scribes actually improved on the grammar of the Quran in order to avoid these theological “mistakes” and “slips”!

Now the author(s) and/or editor(s) of the Quran could have simply avoided all these problems by writing the verse in the following manner:

Ittakhathoo ahbarahum waruhbanahum waalmaseeha ibna maryama arbaban min dooni Allahi

Or, if we omit the vowel markings, s/he/they could have formulated it this way:

Ittakhatho ahbarahum w ruhbanahum w almaseeh bn maryam arbab min doon Allah

Which would give us:

They have taken their rabbis and their monks and the Messiah son of Mary as Lords besides Allah.

Thirdly, as we already demonstrated above the Quran ascribes titles and characteristics to Jesus that clearly prove that he is a fully divine Being, as opposed to being merely human. As the following authors note:

“It is no easy task, however, to describe the Qur’an’s evaluation of Christianity, for the precise historical context of the Qur’an’s origins is far from clear, despite the elaborate biographies of the Prophet Muhammad written during the ‘Abaasid period (132/750-656/1258). Meanwhile, Qur’anic language, essentially homiletic and referential, is often sparing with details. It can therefore be elusive to readers removed from its original context.

“The problem might be presented in regard to terminology. The Qur’an repeatedly (eleven times in all) refers to Jesus as the Christ (al-masih). However, it seems to use the term simply as a proper name (much as Christians began to use the term in the patristic period). Yet the Qur’an also refers to Jesus as the Word of God (Q 3:45; 4:171; cf. 3:59) and the Spirit of God (4:171), who was created from a divine breath (21:91; 66:12). These are typical formulae used by Christians to express the divinity of Christ, as is the Qur’an reference to Christ creating a bird from clay and bringing it to life with his breath (3:49; 5:110; cf. God’s creation of Adam: 15:29; 32:9; 38:72) and the Qur’an’s close association of Jesus and the Holy Spirit (2:87, 253; 5:110).

“However, the Qur’an also repeatedly has Jesus announce that he was sent by God to confirm the law (Tawrat) to the Israelites (3:50; 5:46; 61:6), to insist on God’s transcendence (3:51; 5:72), to reject worship of him (and his mother) as gods (5:116-117), and, in one place, to announce a Messenger to come after him (61:6). Hence it seems that the Qur’an is rejecting Christian claims about Jesus, and indeed the Qur’an implies that the “People of the Book” (here presumably Christians are intended) belittle God with their statements about Christ (4:171). Elsewhere (9:30) Christians are reprimanded for calling Christ the Son of God. And yet in the very next verse (9:31) the Qur’an seems to imply that Christians and Jews err in considering monks and rabbis as Lords instead of God and Christ.2” (‘Abd al-Jabbar – Critique of Christian Origins: A Parallel English-Arabic Text, edited, translated, and annotated by Gabriel Said Reynolds & Samir Khalil Samir [Brigham Young University Press, Provo, Utah 2010], pp. xxi-xxii; bold emphasis ours)

2. Note, however, that the text is vocalized today with Christ in the accusative so that Christ is grouped with monks and rabbis in this verse. (Ibid., p. xxii)

Finally, the Quran provides further confirmation for the fact of Jesus sharing in the unique exalted status of Allah as the sovereign Lord of creation. According to the following verses,

Lo! God said: “O Jesus! Verily, I shall cause thee to die, and shall exalt thee unto Me, and cleanse thee of [the presence of] those who are bent on denying the truth; and I shall place those who follow thee [far] above those who are bent on denying the truth, unto the Day of Resurrection. In the end, unto Me you all must return, and I shall judge between you with regard to all on which you were wont to differ. S. 3:55 Muhammad Asad

and their boast, “Behold, we have slain the Christ Jesus, son of Mary, [who claimed to be] an apostle of God!” However, they did not slay him, and neither did they crucify him, but it only seemed to them [as if it had been] so; and, verily, those who hold conflicting views thereon are indeed confused, having no [real] knowledge thereof, and following mere conjecture. For, of a certainty, they did not slay him: nay, God exalted him unto Himself – and God is indeed almighty, wise. S. 4:157-158 Asad

Allah raised Jesus to himself, to dwell in his very own presence.

Since Islamic theology claims that Allah governs all creatures from his throne, which is supposed to be above the seven heavens and therefore above the entire creation, this means that Jesus is residing over all creation alongside Allah!

It is apparent that this is simply another occasion where Muhammad decided to incorporate certain Christian beliefs as part of his scripture without realizing the great embarrassment that this would cause him due to his express denial that Jesus is the eternal, divine Son of God who became flesh for our salvation.

The Prophet of Shirk Strikes Once Again!

The Prophet of Shirk Strikes Again Pt. 1

How Muhammad Turned Jesus and Mary Into 2 Gods besides Allah

Muhammad, in the Quran, falsely accused Christians of his day of believing that Allah was Jesus, and further censured them for taking Christ and his blessed mother as two gods in the place of Allah:

They indeed have disbelieved who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. Say: Who then can do aught against Allah, if He had willed to destroy the Messiah son of Mary, and his mother and everyone on earth? Allah’s is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He createth what He will. And Allah is Able to do all things. S. 5:17 Pickthall

They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the third of three; when there is no God save the One God. If they desist not from so saying a painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve. Will they not rather turn unto Allah and seek forgiveness of Him? For Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. The Messiah, son of Mary, was no other than a messenger, messengers (the like of whom) had passed away before him. And his mother was a saintly woman. And they both used to eat (earthly) food. See how We make the revelations clear for them, and see how they are turned away! S. 5:73-75 Pickthall

In stating that Allah could have destroyed Jesus and Mary, or that they both had to eat food, it is obvious that Muhammad thought that Christians believed that Allah was the third of three gods consisting of himself, Christ and his beloved mother. This fact is made rather explicit in the following quotation:

And when Allah saith: O Jesus, son of Mary! Didst thou say unto mankind: Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah? he saith: Be glorified! It was not mine to utter that to which I had no right. If I used to say it, then Thou knewest it. Thou knowest what is in my mind, and I know not what is in Thy Mind. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Knower of Things Hidden? I spake unto them only that which Thou commandedst me, (saying): Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. I was a witness of them while I dwelt among them, and when Thou tookest me Thou wast the Watcher over them. Thou art Witness over all things. S. 5:116-117 Pickthall

The Quran further warns Christians to stop saying three, since God is one:

People of the Book, do not transgress the bounds of your religion. Speak nothing but the truth about God. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was no more than God’s apostle and His Word which He cast to Mary: a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His Apostles and do not say: ‘Three.’ Forbear, and it shall be better for you. God is but one God. God forbid that He should have a son! His is all that the heavens and the earth contain. God is the all-sufficient protector. S. 4:171 N. J. Dawood

What makes this rather remarkable is that it was Muhammad who ended up turning Jesus and Mary into two gods besides Allah, not Christians, just as we are about to see.

Recall that in our previous article, we cited the Quran and ahadith to show that Muhammad taught that there is absolutely no creature that is sinless, not even himself. Note, once again, what the following verses,

If God should take men to task for their evildoing, He would not leave on the earth ONE CREATURE that crawls; but He is deferring them to a term stated; and when their term is come they shall not put it back by a single hour nor put it forward. S. 16:61 Arberry

If God should take men to task for what they have earned He would not leave upon the face of the earth ONE CREATURE that crawls; but He is deferring them to a stated term. But when their term is come — surely God sees His servants. S. 35:45 Arberry

And narrations state concerning the universal scope of sin and its affects:

Sunan Ibn Majah

EVERY son of Adam commits sin, and the best of those who commit sin are those who repent.’”

Arabic reference: Book 37, Hadith 2687 (Sunnah.com http://sunnah.com/urn/678050; capital, italic and underline emphasis ours)

Also notice what the Quran says about Muhammad’s sinfulness and imperfections:

God forgive you! Why did you give them leave to stay behind before you knew those who spoke the truth from those who invented false excuses? S. 9:43 Dawood

They sought to entice you from Our revelations — they nearly did — hoping that you might invent some other scripture in Our name, and thus become their trusted friend. Indeed, had We not strengthened your faith, you might have made some compromise with them and thus incurred a double punishment in this life and in the next. Then you should have found none to help you against Us. S. 17:73-75 Dawood

You have been warned, you and those who have gone before you, that if you worship other deities besides God, your works will come to nothing and you will surely be among the losers. Therefore serve God and render thanks to Him. S. 39:65 Dawood

Know that there is no deity but God. Implore Him to forgive your sins and to forgive the true believers, men and women. God knows your busy haunts and resting-places. S. 47:19 Dawood

Had he invented lies concerning Us, We would have seized him by the right hand and severed his heart’s vein: not one of you could have protected him! S. 69:44-47 Dawood – cf. Q. 4:106-107; 10:15, 94; 17:93; 18:110; 33:1; 40:55; 41:6; 46:9; 48:1-2; 72:20-26; 80:1-10; 110:3

Suffice it to say, this raises some serious problems for the Muslim assertion of Mary and her glorious Son being nothing more than human creatures that Allah could wipe out of existence if he so willed.

For example, the Quran teaches in the context of Allah having chosen Jesus’ maternal family above the entire creation, that Christ’s maternal grandmother prayed that both he and his blessed mother would be protected from the accursed Satan:

Lo! Allah preferred Adam and Noah and the Family of Abraham and the Family of ‘Imran above (all His) creatures. They were descendants one of another. Allah is Hearer, Knower. (Remember) when the wife of ‘Imran said: My Lord! I have vowed unto Thee that which is in my belly as a consecrated (offering). Accept it from me. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Hearer, the Knower! And when she was delivered she said: My Lord! Lo! I am delivered of a female – Allah knew best of what she was delivered – the male is not as the female; and lo! I have named her Mary, and lo! I crave Thy protection for her and for her offspring from Satan the outcast. S. 3:33-36 Pickthall

According to the ahadith, Allah honored this request by making Jesus and his blessed mother the only ones whom Satan was absolutely forbidden from touching at their respective births:

And when she gave birth to her, a girl, and she had been hoping for a boy, since only males were consecrated to the service of God, she said, apologetically, ‘O, Lord, I have given birth to a female’ — and God knew very well what she had given birth to: a parenthetical statement constituting God’s speech (a variant reading [for wada‘at, ‘she gave birth’, has wada‘tu, ‘I gave birth’ [making these Hanna’s words, sc. ‘and God knows very well what I have given birth to’]); the male, that she had asked for, is not as the female, that was bestowed upon her, because he is designed for the service [of God], while she would not be suitable on account of her lesser physical ability, her private parts, the effects of menstruation on her, and so on. ‘And I have named her Mary, and commend her to You with her seed, her children, to protect them from the accursed, the outcast, Satan’. In a hadith [it is stated]: ‘Every new-born is touched by Satan and begins [life] by crying, EXCEPT FOR MARY AND HER SON’, as reported by the two Shaykhs [Bukhari and Muslim]. (Tafsir al-Jalalayn http://altafsir.com/Tafasir.asp?tMadhNo=0&tTafsirNo=74&tSoraNo=3&tAyahNo=36&tDisplay=yes&UserProfile=0&LanguageId=2; bold, capital and underline emphasis ours)

And:

Allah’s statement that Maryam’s mother said…

(“… And I seek refuge with You for her and for her offspring from Shaytan, the outcast.”) means, that she sought refuge with Allah from the evil of Shaytan, for her and her offspring, i.e., `Isa, peace be upon him. Allah accepted her supplication, for `Abdur-Razzaq recorded that Abu Hurayrah said that the Messenger of Allah said…

<<Every newly born baby is touched by Shaytan when it is born, and the baby starts crying because of this touch, except Maryam and her son.>>

Abu Hurayrah then said, “Read if you will…

(And I seek refuge with You for her and for her offspring from Shaytan, the outcast).” The Two Sahihs recorded this Hadith. (Tafsir Ibn Kathir http://www.qtafsir.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=546&Itemid=46; bold and underline emphasis ours)

That’s not all. The Muslim scripture affirms that Allah created Mary to be absolutely pure and even preferred her above all the rest of the women of creation:And when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah hath chosen thee AND MADE THEE PURE, and hath preferred thee above (all) the women of creation. S. 3:42 Pickthall

Note how the following renowned Muslim scholars and expositors interpreted this text:

(And when the angels) i.e. Gabriel (said: O Mary! Lo! Allah hath chosen thee) with Islam and worship (and made thee pure) from disbelief, the association of partners with Allah AND BLEMISHES; it is also said this means: He has saved you from being killed, (and hath preferred you above (all) the women of creation) of your time by the birth of Jesus. (Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs http://altafsir.com/Tafasir.asp?tMadhNo=0&tTafsirNo=73&tSoraNo=3&tAyahNo=42&tDisplay=yes&UserProfile=0&LanguageId=2; bold, capital and underline emphasis ours)

God has elected you, because of your being above lust, and made you pure, from the vices of reprehensible character traits and attributes, and He has chosen you above the women, of the concupiscent souls variegated by despicable acts and vile natures. (Kashani Tafsir http://altafsir.com/Tafasir.asp?tMadhNo=0&tTafsirNo=107&tSoraNo=3&tAyahNo=42&tDisplay=yes&UserProfile=0&LanguageId=2; bold and underline emphasis ours)

It is possible that this was the beginning of a message from the angels to Mary elevating her state. It is possible that she may have heard their words and seen them, or that she did not see them but heard them as a voice calling out to her, ‘Truly God has chosen you because of your having been preferred, and singled you out from your kind and peers, and purified you from what is indecent and sinful BY A BEAUTIFUL IMMUNITY and from having physical contact with men, and has chosen you above the women of the world of your time’. The point of repeating the mention of being chosen is firstly, He has chosen you through special gifts, position, and an exalted state; and secondly, He has chosen you to bear Jesus without a father, and no woman can ever be compared to you UNTIL THE DAY OF RESURRECTION. Because of that He said: above all women of the worlds. (Al Qushairi Tafsir http://altafsir.com/Tafasir.asp?tMadhNo=0&tTafsirNo=108&tSoraNo=3&tAyahNo=42&tDisplay=yes&UserProfile=0&LanguageId=2; bold, capital and underline emphasis ours)

Mary is further said to be a saintly woman who never deviated from the truth:

“The Messiah, the son of Mary, was no more than an apostle: other apostles passed away before him. His mother was a saintly woman…” S. 5:75 Dawood

Compare:

“The Christ, son of Mary, was but an apostle: all [other] apostles had passed away before him; and his mother was one who never deviated from the truth…” Muhammad Asad

We are even told that Mary was one of only two women that was perfect,

XLVI: The words of Allah Almighty, “When the angels said, ‘Maryam, Your Lord gives you the good news of a Word from Him. His name is the Messiah, ‘Isa, son of Maryam, – to His words –He just says to it, ‘Be!’ and it is.” (3:45-47)

Yubashshiru and yabshiru mean the same. “Wajîh” is noble.

Ibrahim said that “masih” is the true. Mujahid said that “kahl” is mature. “Akmah” is the one who can see in the day, but not at night, and other said that it is the one who is born blind.

3250. It is related from Abu Musa al-Ash’ari that the Prophet said, “The excellence of ‘A’isha over the women is like the excellence of tharid over other types of food. Many men have been prefect, but THE ONLY PERFECT WOMEN are Asiya, the wife of Pharaoh, AND MARYAM DAUGHTER OF ‘IMRAN.” (Aisha Bewley, The Sahih Collection of al-Bukhari, Chapter 64. Book of the Prophets: http://bewley.virtualave.net/bukhari26.html#prophets; capital and underline emphasis ours)

And that she was the best of all the women of this world,

L: The marriage of the Prophet to Khadija, and her excellence

It is related that ‘Ali was heard to say, “I heard the Messenger of Allah say…”

It is related from ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib that the Prophet said, “The best of the women OF THIS WORLD was Maryam and the best of the women of this community was Khadija.” (Ibid., Chapter 66. And (by implication) of paradise as well:

Chapters on Virtues

Narrated Umm Salamah:

that the Messenger of Allah called Fatimah on the Day of the Conquest (of Makkah) and he spoke to her, so she cried. Then he spoke to her and she laughed. She said: “So when the Messenger of Allah died, I asked her about her crying and laughing. She said: “The Messenger of Allah told me that he will die, so I cried, then he told me that I was the master over all the women of the inhabitants of Paradise, EXCEPT FOR MARIAM BINT ‘IMRAN, so I laughed.”

She said: “When the Messenger of Allah died I asked her about her crying and her laughing. She said: ‘The Messenger of Allah informed me that he would (soon) die, so I cried. Then, he informed me that I was the master over all of the women among the inhabitants of Paradise, EXCEPT FOR MARIAM BINT ‘IMRAN, so I laughed.'”

The Quran further proclaims that Allah caused Mary to conceive and give birth to an absolutely holy and pure son by the power of his Spirit:

And make mention of Mary in the Scripture, when she had withdrawn from her people to a chamber looking East, And had chosen seclusion from them. Then We sent unto her OUR SPIRIT and it assumed for her the likeness of a perfect man. She said: Lo! I seek refuge in the Beneficent One from thee, if thou art God-fearing. He said: I am only a messenger of thy Lord, that I MAY BESTOW on thee A FAULTLESS SON. She said: How can I have a son when no mortal hath touched me, neither have I been unchaste? He said: So (it will be). Thy Lord saith: It is easy for Me. And (it will be) that We may make of him a revelation for mankind and a mercy from Us, and it is a thing ordained. S. 19:16-21 Pickthall

This explains why in the ahadith Jesus is the only prophet/messenger who mentions never mentions any sin that he has committed, unlike the others including Muhammad:

“They will go to Musa and say, ‘O Musa, you are the Messenger of Allah. Allah preferred you with His message and His Word above all other people. Intercede with your Lord for us. Do you not see what we are suffering?’ He will say, ‘My Lord is angry today with such anger as has never existed before nor will again. I killed a soul which I was not commanded to kill. Go to someone else. Go to ‘Isa.’

“They will go to ‘Isa and say, ‘O ‘Isa! You are the Messenger of Allah and His Word which He cast to Maryam and a spirit from Him. You spoke to people while in the cradle. Intercede with your Lord on our behalf. Do you not see what we are suffering?’ ‘Isa will say, ‘My Lord is angry today with such anger as has never existed before nor will again,’ AND HE DID NOT MENTION A SIN. ‘O my soul! My soul! My soul! Go to someone else. Go to Muhammad.’ (Bewley, The Sahih Collection of al-Bukhari, Chapter 68. Book of Tafsir https://bewley.virtualave.net/bukhari31.html; bold, capital and underline emphasis ours)

And:

“… Moses would say to them: Verily my Lord is angry as He had never been angry before and would never be angry afterwards. I, in fact, killed a person whom I had not been ordered to kill. I am concerned with myself, I am concerned with myself. You better go to Jesus. They would come to Jesus and would say: O Jesus, thou art the messenger of Allah and thou conversed with people in the cradle, (thou art) His Word which He sent down upon Mary, and (thou art) the Spirit from Him; so intercede for us with thy Lord. Don’t you see (the trouble) in which we are? Don’t you see (the misfortune) that has overtaken us? Jesus would say: Verily, my Lord is angry today as He had never been angry before or would ever be angry afterwards. HE MENTIONED NO SIN OF HIS. (He simply said:) I am concerned with myself, I am concerned with myself; you go to someone else: better go to Muhammad. They would come to me and say: O Mahammad, thou art the messenger of Allah and the last of the apostles. Allah has pardoned thee all thy previous and later sins…” (Sahih Muslim, Book 001, Number 0378 http://searchtruth.com/book_display.php?book=001&translator=2&start=0&number=0378; bold, capital and underline emphasis ours)

Finally:

Jami` at-Tirmidhi

Chapters on the description of the Day of Judgement, Ar-Riqaq, and Al-Wara’

Abu Huraira narrated… “They will go to ‘Eisa and say: ‘O ‘Eisa ! You are the Messenger of Allah and His Word which He placed INTO Mariam, and a Spirit from Him, and you spoke to the people in the cradle. Intercede for us with your Lord. Don’t you see what has happened to us?’ Then ‘Eisa will say: ‘Today my Lord has become angry as He has never before been angry and will never be thereafter.” He will not mention a sin, but will say: ‘Myself! Myself! Myself!’…”

It is obvious from all of these citations that Muhammad actually believed that both Mary and her righteous Son were born morally perfect, and therefore were intrinsically holy and righteous.

Herein lies the problem from Muslims. Since Muhammad proclaimed that every creature was a sinner, and that every single son/daughter of Adam sins, this means that Jesus and his blessed mother cannot simply be descendants of Adam, nor can they be mere creatures. They must both be fully divine as well.

Notice the logical implications of Muhammad’s teaching on these matters.

1. There is no creature that is absolutely sinless, since only the Creator is absolutely perfect.

2. Every descendant of Adam sins.

3. Jesus and his blessed mother have never sinned, but were morally perfect.

4. Jesus and his blessed mother were essentially pure and holy from the moment of their conceptions.

5. This means that Jesus and his glorious mother are not mere creatures, but are actually fully divine beings that became human.

6. Since Jesus and Mary are not Allah, this means that they must be two gods besides Allah.

7. Therefore, this makes Allah the third of three gods.

8. However, the Quran says that only infidels would dare say that Allah is the third of three, with Jesus and Mary being the other two deities, and warns people to desist from saying three since God is only one.

These embarrassing blunders are the result of Muhammad adapting and parroting the beliefs of Christians without understanding the ramifications of doing so.

Be that as it may, Muhammad stands condemned for transforming Mary and her majestic Son into two divine beings besides Allah, thereby making Allah the third of three gods. Muhammad should have followed his very own advice and desisted from turning his deity into one of three gods, since it would have been better for him to proclaim that God is one.
