The Prophet of Shirk Strikes Once Again!

The Prophet of Shirk Strikes Again Pt. 1

How Muhammad Turned Jesus and Mary Into 2 Gods besides Allah

Muhammad, in the Quran, falsely accused Christians of his day of believing that Allah was Jesus, and further censured them for taking Christ and his blessed mother as two gods in the place of Allah:

They indeed have disbelieved who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. Say: Who then can do aught against Allah, if He had willed to destroy the Messiah son of Mary, and his mother and everyone on earth? Allah’s is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He createth what He will. And Allah is Able to do all things. S. 5:17 Pickthall

They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the third of three; when there is no God save the One God. If they desist not from so saying a painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve. Will they not rather turn unto Allah and seek forgiveness of Him? For Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. The Messiah, son of Mary, was no other than a messenger, messengers (the like of whom) had passed away before him. And his mother was a saintly woman. And they both used to eat (earthly) food. See how We make the revelations clear for them, and see how they are turned away! S. 5:73-75 Pickthall

In stating that Allah could have destroyed Jesus and Mary, or that they both had to eat food, it is obvious that Muhammad thought that Christians believed that Allah was the third of three gods consisting of himself, Christ and his beloved mother. This fact is made rather explicit in the following quotation:

And when Allah saith: O Jesus, son of Mary! Didst thou say unto mankind: Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah? he saith: Be glorified! It was not mine to utter that to which I had no right. If I used to say it, then Thou knewest it. Thou knowest what is in my mind, and I know not what is in Thy Mind. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Knower of Things Hidden? I spake unto them only that which Thou commandedst me, (saying): Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. I was a witness of them while I dwelt among them, and when Thou tookest me Thou wast the Watcher over them. Thou art Witness over all things. S. 5:116-117 Pickthall

The Quran further warns Christians to stop saying three, since God is one:

People of the Book, do not transgress the bounds of your religion. Speak nothing but the truth about God. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was no more than God’s apostle and His Word which He cast to Mary: a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His Apostles and do not say: ‘Three.’ Forbear, and it shall be better for you. God is but one God. God forbid that He should have a son! His is all that the heavens and the earth contain. God is the all-sufficient protector. S. 4:171 N. J. Dawood

What makes this rather remarkable is that it was Muhammad who ended up turning Jesus and Mary into two gods besides Allah, not Christians, just as we are about to see.

Recall that in our previous article, we cited the Quran and ahadith to show that Muhammad taught that there is absolutely no creature that is sinless, not even himself. Note, once again, what the following verses,

If God should take men to task for their evildoing, He would not leave on the earth ONE CREATURE that crawls; but He is deferring them to a term stated; and when their term is come they shall not put it back by a single hour nor put it forward. S. 16:61 Arberry

If God should take men to task for what they have earned He would not leave upon the face of the earth ONE CREATURE that crawls; but He is deferring them to a stated term. But when their term is come — surely God sees His servants. S. 35:45 Arberry

And narrations state concerning the universal scope of sin and its affects:

Sunan Ibn Majah

The Chapters on Asceticism

EVERY son of Adam commits sin, and the best of those who commit sin are those who repent.’”

Anas narrated that the Prophet said: “EVERY son of Adam sins, and the best of the sinners are the repentant.

Also notice what the Quran says about Muhammad’s sinfulness and imperfections:

God forgive you! Why did you give them leave to stay behind before you knew those who spoke the truth from those who invented false excuses? S. 9:43 Dawood

They sought to entice you from Our revelations — they nearly did — hoping that you might invent some other scripture in Our name, and thus become their trusted friend. Indeed, had We not strengthened your faith, you might have made some compromise with them and thus incurred a double punishment in this life and in the next. Then you should have found none to help you against Us. S. 17:73-75 Dawood

You have been warned, you and those who have gone before you, that if you worship other deities besides God, your works will come to nothing and you will surely be among the losers. Therefore serve God and render thanks to Him. S. 39:65 Dawood

Know that there is no deity but God. Implore Him to forgive your sins and to forgive the true believers, men and women. God knows your busy haunts and resting-places. S. 47:19 Dawood

Had he invented lies concerning Us, We would have seized him by the right hand and severed his heart’s vein: not one of you could have protected him! S. 69:44-47 Dawood – cf. Q. 4:106-107; 10:15, 94; 17:93; 18:110; 33:1; 40:55; 41:6; 46:9; 48:1-2; 72:20-26; 80:1-10; 110:3

Suffice it to say, this raises some serious problems for the Muslim assertion of Mary and her glorious Son being nothing more than human creatures that Allah could wipe out of existence if he so willed.

For example, the Quran teaches in the context of Allah having chosen Jesus’ maternal family above the entire creation, that Christ’s maternal grandmother prayed that both he and his blessed mother would be protected from the accursed Satan:

Lo! Allah preferred Adam and Noah and the Family of Abraham and the Family of ‘Imran above (all His) creatures. They were descendants one of another. Allah is Hearer, Knower. (Remember) when the wife of ‘Imran said: My Lord! I have vowed unto Thee that which is in my belly as a consecrated (offering). Accept it from me. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Hearer, the Knower! And when she was delivered she said: My Lord! Lo! I am delivered of a female – Allah knew best of what she was delivered – the male is not as the female; and lo! I have named her Mary, and lo! I crave Thy protection for her and for her offspring from Satan the outcast. S. 3:33-36 Pickthall

According to the ahadith, Allah honored this request by making Jesus and his blessed mother the only ones whom Satan was absolutely forbidden from touching at their respective births:

And when she gave birth to her, a girl, and she had been hoping for a boy, since only males were consecrated to the service of God, she said, apologetically, ‘O, Lord, I have given birth to a female’ — and God knew very well what she had given birth to: a parenthetical statement constituting God’s speech (a variant reading [for wada‘at, ‘she gave birth’, has wada‘tu, ‘I gave birth’ [making these Hanna’s words, sc. ‘and God knows very well what I have given birth to’]); the male, that she had asked for, is not as the female, that was bestowed upon her, because he is designed for the service [of God], while she would not be suitable on account of her lesser physical ability, her private parts, the effects of menstruation on her, and so on. ‘And I have named her Mary, and commend her to You with her seed, her children, to protect them from the accursed, the outcast, Satan’. In a hadith [it is stated]: ‘Every new-born is touched by Satan and begins [life] by crying, EXCEPT FOR MARY AND HER SON’, as reported by the two Shaykhs [Bukhari and Muslim]. (Tafsir al-Jalalayn http://altafsir.com/Tafasir.asp?tMadhNo=0&tTafsirNo=74&tSoraNo=3&tAyahNo=36&tDisplay=yes&UserProfile=0&LanguageId=2; bold, capital and underline emphasis ours)

And:

Allah’s statement that Maryam’s mother said…

(“… And I seek refuge with You for her and for her offspring from Shaytan, the outcast.”) means, that she sought refuge with Allah from the evil of Shaytan, for her and her offspring, i.e., `Isa, peace be upon him. Allah accepted her supplication, for `Abdur-Razzaq recorded that Abu Hurayrah said that the Messenger of Allah said…

<<Every newly born baby is touched by Shaytan when it is born, and the baby starts crying because of this touch, except Maryam and her son.>>

Abu Hurayrah then said, “Read if you will…

(And I seek refuge with You for her and for her offspring from Shaytan, the outcast).” The Two Sahihs recorded this Hadith. (Tafsir Ibn Kathir http://www.qtafsir.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=546&Itemid=46; bold and underline emphasis ours)

That’s not all. The Muslim scripture affirms that Allah created Mary to be absolutely pure and even preferred her above all the rest of the women of creation:And when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah hath chosen thee AND MADE THEE PURE, and hath preferred thee above (all) the women of creation. S. 3:42 Pickthall

Note how the following renowned Muslim scholars and expositors interpreted this text:

(And when the angels) i.e. Gabriel (said: O Mary! Lo! Allah hath chosen thee) with Islam and worship (and made thee pure) from disbelief, the association of partners with Allah AND BLEMISHES; it is also said this means: He has saved you from being killed, (and hath preferred you above (all) the women of creation) of your time by the birth of Jesus. (Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs http://altafsir.com/Tafasir.asp?tMadhNo=0&tTafsirNo=73&tSoraNo=3&tAyahNo=42&tDisplay=yes&UserProfile=0&LanguageId=2; bold, capital and underline emphasis ours)

God has elected you, because of your being above lust, and made you pure, from the vices of reprehensible character traits and attributes, and He has chosen you above the women, of the concupiscent souls variegated by despicable acts and vile natures. (Kashani Tafsir http://altafsir.com/Tafasir.asp?tMadhNo=0&tTafsirNo=107&tSoraNo=3&tAyahNo=42&tDisplay=yes&UserProfile=0&LanguageId=2; bold and underline emphasis ours)

It is possible that this was the beginning of a message from the angels to Mary elevating her state. It is possible that she may have heard their words and seen them, or that she did not see them but heard them as a voice calling out to her, ‘Truly God has chosen you because of your having been preferred, and singled you out from your kind and peers, and purified you from what is indecent and sinful BY A BEAUTIFUL IMMUNITY and from having physical contact with men, and has chosen you above the women of the world of your time’. The point of repeating the mention of being chosen is firstly, He has chosen you through special gifts, position, and an exalted state; and secondly, He has chosen you to bear Jesus without a father, and no woman can ever be compared to you UNTIL THE DAY OF RESURRECTION. Because of that He said: above all women of the worlds. (Al Qushairi Tafsir http://altafsir.com/Tafasir.asp?tMadhNo=0&tTafsirNo=108&tSoraNo=3&tAyahNo=42&tDisplay=yes&UserProfile=0&LanguageId=2; bold, capital and underline emphasis ours)

Mary is further said to be a saintly woman who never deviated from the truth:

“The Messiah, the son of Mary, was no more than an apostle: other apostles passed away before him. His mother was a saintly woman…” S. 5:75 Dawood

Compare:

“The Christ, son of Mary, was but an apostle: all [other] apostles had passed away before him; and his mother was one who never deviated from the truth…” Muhammad Asad

We are even told that Mary was one of only two women that was perfect,

XLVI: The words of Allah Almighty, “When the angels said, ‘Maryam, Your Lord gives you the good news of a Word from Him. His name is the Messiah, ‘Isa, son of Maryam, – to His words –He just says to it, ‘Be!’ and it is.” (3:45-47)

Yubashshiru and yabshiru mean the same. “Wajîh” is noble.

Ibrahim said that “masih” is the true. Mujahid said that “kahl” is mature. “Akmah” is the one who can see in the day, but not at night, and other said that it is the one who is born blind.

3250. It is related from Abu Musa al-Ash’ari that the Prophet said, “The excellence of ‘A’isha over the women is like the excellence of tharid over other types of food. Many men have been prefect, but THE ONLY PERFECT WOMEN are Asiya, the wife of Pharaoh, AND MARYAM DAUGHTER OF ‘IMRAN.” (Aisha Bewley, The Sahih Collection of al-Bukhari, Chapter 64. Book of the Prophets: http://bewley.virtualave.net/bukhari26.html#prophets; capital and underline emphasis ours)

And that she was the best of all the women of this world,

L: The marriage of the Prophet to Khadija, and her excellence

It is related that ‘Ali was heard to say, “I heard the Messenger of Allah say…”

It is related from ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib that the Prophet said, “The best of the women OF THIS WORLD was Maryam and the best of the women of this community was Khadija.” (Ibid., Chapter 66. Book of the Virtues of the Companions http://bewley.virtualave.net/bukhari28.html#companions; capital and underline emphasis ours)

And (by implication) of paradise as well:

Jami` at-Tirmidhi

Chapters on Virtues

Narrated Umm Salamah:

that the Messenger of Allah called Fatimah on the Day of the Conquest (of Makkah) and he spoke to her, so she cried. Then he spoke to her and she laughed. She said: “So when the Messenger of Allah died, I asked her about her crying and laughing. She said: “The Messenger of Allah told me that he will die, so I cried, then he told me that I was the master over all the women of the inhabitants of Paradise, EXCEPT FOR MARIAM BINT ‘IMRAN, so I laughed.”

And:

Jami` at-Tirmidhi

Narrated Umm Salamah:

that the Messenger of Allah called for Fatimah in the Year of the Conquest to him to speak to her, and she cried. Then he spoke to her and she laughed. She said: “When the Messenger of Allah died I asked her about her crying and her laughing. She said: ‘The Messenger of Allah informed me that he would (soon) die, so I cried. Then, he informed me that I was the master over all of the women among the inhabitants of Paradise, EXCEPT FOR MARIAM BINT ‘IMRAN, so I laughed.'”

The Quran further proclaims that Allah caused Mary to conceive and give birth to an absolutely holy and pure son by the power of his Spirit:

And make mention of Mary in the Scripture, when she had withdrawn from her people to a chamber looking East, And had chosen seclusion from them. Then We sent unto her OUR SPIRIT and it assumed for her the likeness of a perfect man. She said: Lo! I seek refuge in the Beneficent One from thee, if thou art God-fearing. He said: I am only a messenger of thy Lord, that I MAY BESTOW on thee A FAULTLESS SON. She said: How can I have a son when no mortal hath touched me, neither have I been unchaste? He said: So (it will be). Thy Lord saith: It is easy for Me. And (it will be) that We may make of him a revelation for mankind and a mercy from Us, and it is a thing ordained. S. 19:16-21 Pickthall

This explains why in the ahadith Jesus is the only prophet/messenger who mentions never mentions any sin that he has committed, unlike the others including Muhammad:

“They will go to Musa and say, ‘O Musa, you are the Messenger of Allah. Allah preferred you with His message and His Word above all other people. Intercede with your Lord for us. Do you not see what we are suffering?’ He will say, ‘My Lord is angry today with such anger as has never existed before nor will again. I killed a soul which I was not commanded to kill. Go to someone else. Go to ‘Isa.’

“They will go to ‘Isa and say, ‘O ‘Isa! You are the Messenger of Allah and His Word which He cast to Maryam and a spirit from Him. You spoke to people while in the cradle. Intercede with your Lord on our behalf. Do you not see what we are suffering?’ ‘Isa will say, ‘My Lord is angry today with such anger as has never existed before nor will again,’ AND HE DID NOT MENTION A SIN. ‘O my soul! My soul! My soul! Go to someone else. Go to Muhammad.’ (Bewley, The Sahih Collection of al-Bukhari, Chapter 68. Book of Tafsir https://bewley.virtualave.net/bukhari31.html; bold, capital and underline emphasis ours)

And:

“… Moses would say to them: Verily my Lord is angry as He had never been angry before and would never be angry afterwards. I, in fact, killed a person whom I had not been ordered to kill. I am concerned with myself, I am concerned with myself. You better go to Jesus. They would come to Jesus and would say: O Jesus, thou art the messenger of Allah and thou conversed with people in the cradle, (thou art) His Word which He sent down upon Mary, and (thou art) the Spirit from Him; so intercede for us with thy Lord. Don’t you see (the trouble) in which we are? Don’t you see (the misfortune) that has overtaken us? Jesus would say: Verily, my Lord is angry today as He had never been angry before or would ever be angry afterwards. HE MENTIONED NO SIN OF HIS. (He simply said:) I am concerned with myself, I am concerned with myself; you go to someone else: better go to Muhammad. They would come to me and say: O Mahammad, thou art the messenger of Allah and the last of the apostles. Allah has pardoned thee all thy previous and later sins…” (Sahih Muslim, Book 001, Number 0378 http://searchtruth.com/book_display.php?book=001&translator=2&start=0&number=0378; bold, capital and underline emphasis ours)

Finally:

Jami` at-Tirmidhi

Chapters on the description of the Day of Judgement, Ar-Riqaq, and Al-Wara’

Abu Huraira narrated… “They will go to ‘Eisa and say: ‘O ‘Eisa ! You are the Messenger of Allah and His Word which He placed INTO Mariam, and a Spirit from Him, and you spoke to the people in the cradle. Intercede for us with your Lord. Don’t you see what has happened to us?’ Then ‘Eisa will say: ‘Today my Lord has become angry as He has never before been angry and will never be thereafter.” He will not mention a sin, but will say: ‘Myself! Myself! Myself!’…”

Grade: Sahih (Darussalam)

Arabic reference: Book 37, Hadith 2621 (Sunna.com http://sunnah.com/urn/677390; capital, italic and underline emphasis ours)

It is obvious from all of these citations that Muhammad actually believed that both Mary and her righteous Son were born morally perfect, and therefore were intrinsically holy and righteous.

Herein lies the problem from Muslims. Since Muhammad proclaimed that every creature was a sinner, and that every single son/daughter of Adam sins, this means that Jesus and his blessed mother cannot simply be descendants of Adam, nor can they be mere creatures. They must both be fully divine as well.

Notice the logical implications of Muhammad’s teaching on these matters.

1. There is no creature that is absolutely sinless, since only the Creator is absolutely perfect.

2. Every descendant of Adam sins.

3. Jesus and his blessed mother have never sinned, but were morally perfect.

4. Jesus and his blessed mother were essentially pure and holy from the moment of their conceptions.

5. This means that Jesus and his glorious mother are not mere creatures, but are actually fully divine beings that became human.

6. Since Jesus and Mary are not Allah, this means that they must be two gods besides Allah.

7. Therefore, this makes Allah the third of three gods.

8. However, the Quran says that only infidels would dare say that Allah is the third of three, with Jesus and Mary being the other two deities, and warns people to desist from saying three since God is only one.

These embarrassing blunders are the result of Muhammad adapting and parroting the beliefs of Christians without understanding the ramifications of doing so.

Be that as it may, Muhammad stands condemned for transforming Mary and her majestic Son into two divine beings besides Allah, thereby making Allah the third of three gods. Muhammad should have followed his very own advice and desisted from turning his deity into one of three gods, since it would have been better for him to proclaim that God is one.
